UPDATE: We are fully booked for the remaining 2018/2019 school year. If you would like your students to receive the practical tools and critical thinking skills from Free to be, consider becoming trained to facilitate the program.

The Free To Be program is interactive and engaging and taught over six, 1 hour, sessions. Please fill out the form below and we'll promptly respond to all your questions and booking inquiries.

If your needs and interests would better suit a student presentation (e.g. students in grade 4/5 or 10-12), rather than the Free To Be program, you can book your presentation here.

For further information please check out our FAQ (e.g. can my students in grade 4 receive Free To Be?) or send us an email and we will be happy to discuss your interests more in depth.

How many classrooms** would you like the program implemented in? *
Please note if you have multiple classrooms we try to schedule our facilitators to run the program back-to-back on the same day (e.g. Classroom A at 9am and Classroom B at 10am) **up to maximum of 30 students/class. Our experience has revealed that presenting to larger groups is less meaningful as students don’t tend to be as engaged in the activities.
Can you provide a primary contact at the school who will help coordinate and set up logistics? *

Please indicate whether you would like the program 2x a week for 3 weeks OR 1x a week for 6 weeks***: *
***We find Free To Be is best run 2x a week for 3 weeks, or 1x a week for 6 weeks as having space between the sessions allows students to internalize the information they are learning and to work on projects to the best of their ability. For example, in session 5 students in small groups create a big project that they teach or present to their classmates about positive body image (and is often marked by the teacher). Feedback student’s have provided us has revealed that they like to have time to work on the project or else they don’t feel as proud of their work.

Note for success: The Free To Be program is designed to be integrated into curriculum as it covers all 6 core competencies within the new BC curriculum. Moreover, our experience has shown that students engage more thoughtfully with the information if they are held accountable, either through being marked for activities or for participation. At the end of each session can the teacher please collect the activity booklets so that none get lost. *
To keep the cost of Free To Be so affordable and accessible to schools there are two options to receive the Student Activity Booklets: *
